In the last two years she has taken workshops with Frank Webb and with her inspiration, Ron Ranson. Since 2004, she has been an art instructor for  Shasta College Weaverville Extension, art Instructor in Trinity County K-12 schools for past 15 years and and she also teaches private painting classes.Watercolor, book publishing. Evelyn holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Art/Art History and K-12 and Community College teaching credentials.

LOG CABIN QUILTERS GUILD: (Barbara Leadbetter 628-5388, Mayme Patton 628-5175, or Wanda Brown 628-4378, Hayfork) - Hayfork based quilting group that meets last Wed each month (except March and December) at Roderick Senior Center at 2pm. QUILTERS ART STUDIO (Downtown Hayfork, across from Wiley's Grocery) is operated by some of the members of Log Cabin Quilters Guild. They have a long-armed quilting machine that they sometimes give demos of.

MOUNTAIN VILLAGE QUILTERS: (530-623-4477 or 530-623-5111, 503 Main Street, Weaverville) - Quilting group that meets weekly at Highland Art Center & Gallery in Weaverville 10-12noon on Wednesdays.

MOUNTAIN VOICES: (Tamara Jenkinson: 530-629-2614, 530-629-3488, Willow Creek) - This is a group of poets from up and down both the Trinity and Klamath Rivers. They meet on third Thursday each month at Big Foot Books from 5:30-7:30pm and organize more or less quarterly performance gatherings. They have friends from far and wide and many of the poets have developed web-based support networks for themselves that include poets from all over the world.

SOULGLASS HAND BLOWN ART GLASS SCULPTURES: (Michael & Darcy Hopko, 530-623-3249, 106 Washington Street, P.O. Box 2994, Weaverville, 96093) - Local glassblowing studio featuring intricate hand blown glass sculptures of fish and other sea life designs.

STONE TOPS: (Tim & Sue Ford, 530-628-1079, Toll free: 877-210-7442, P.O. Box 1507, Hayfork, 96041) - Wood products with stone inlay. Gifts items include coasters, trivets, desk sets, and jewelry, music and keepsake boxes. Furniture items include tables, cabinets, chests and funeral urns. They also own and run The Feed Store in Hayfork.

STUDIO 299 CENTER FOR THE ARTS: (530-629-3488, P.O. Box 32, Willow Creek, CA 95527) - Non-profit artist's collaborative serving Western Trinity & Eastern Humboldt counties area. They meet at St. Joseph's Community Service Room at 5pm on first Tuesday each month.

SUMO GLASS STUDIO: (Marty Hook & Janet Sweeney, 530-623-9508, Weaverville) - Hand blown art glass.

SWEET SHEEP YARN: (Janet Saxon, 530-623-8650, 515 Main Street, Weaverville) - Situated in historic district on Main Street in a building that was built in 1855. The architecture is perfect for displaying yarn as the floor to ceiling shelves that were hand-carved before the 1900s are still intact. They sell quality yarn from Berroco, Cascade, Rowan, Debbie Bliss, Noro, Katia, Queensland, Pagewood Farm, Mountain Colors, and Universal and offer personal instruction in knitting and crochet. Join them on Mondays for NorCal Knit and Crochet Group meetings 6-8pm; on Wednesday for Warm Up Knit and Crochet for Charity from 12noon-2pm; on Fridays for Friday Fix It for help on projects or techniques all day and at no cost to you.

THURSDAY NIGHT STRIPPERS QUILT GUILD: Quilting group that meets weekly in Weaverville, possibly at 6pm on Thursday nights.

TRINITY COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL: (530-623-2760, Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, Weaverville) - May participate in Art Cruise. They meet every third Monday each month at back room of Trinity County Chamber of Commerce in Weaverville at 6:05pm. 

TRINITY GEM & MINERAL SOCIETY LAPIDARY SCHOOL: (530-623-1183, Weaverville, Jack Jennewein: 530-778-3786) Learn soapstone carving, glass bead making, lapidary (rock polishing), wire working, and more. Hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays 1-5pm.

YINGLING POTTERY: (Debbie Councilman, 530-266-3653, Trinity Center) - Ceramics. She has ceramics on display and for sale at Highland Art Center & Gallery in Weaverville and at The Country Store in Coffee Creek.
